On Tuesday 4th September Orwell Ladies and friends set out for a 3 hour cruise on the river Forth on the Maid of the Forth. We were welcomed aboard with a glass of wine and enjoyed the amazing weather on deck as we set sail.

Downstairs and inside there was a wonderful buffet provided by Anne Whitelaw, a bar, and live music from the boat’s jazz band.

The views were amazing and the company entertaining. Everyone had a great time and we must thank the team of Margaret Nelson, Frances Algie and Lesley Johnston for all their hard work in planning and executing the event. Especially to Frances for coming up with the idea.
