On 27th December 2017 Orwell Ladies again took part in the Christmas Potty as part of a mixed team with Orwell Men.

The format was a fun session with rules such as no talking at all or anticlockwise handles only for the end. At the completion of each end an envelope was opened which would disclose the scoring, maybe all stone in play but not in the house! It caused much laughter and was a very enjoyable evening.

The first session was Robin Kay, David Cottingham, Angela Wilcox and Sue Cameron against Kinross Juniors and the final score was 18 – 12 to Orwell. The second session was Hector Snoddy, Alan Dearing, Edna Nelson and Eileen Thomas against Glenfarg Ladies. The final score here was 30 to Orwell who won it, but I don’t know the other score.

Overall, with 30 shots, Orwell were the highest scoring team and retain the trophy for another year.
