The European Senior Invitation Curling Championships 2017 took place at Greenacres Ice Rink from 1st to 4th November.

One of our members, Angela Wilcox, was playing in the English team. The ladies were Judith Dixon (skip), Joan Reed, Helen Forbes and Angela Wilcox.

The ladies, playing together for the first time, won all their group games and then met Scotland – Christine Cannon in the semi-final. Winning that put them through to the final against Switzerland – Chantal Forrer. They had already played the Swiss, and beaten them, in their first game. It was, sadly, not to be though as the Swiss were the better team this time and took the title.
