The Kinross playdowns for the Henderson Bishop competition took place this week, with the final being played on Thursday 1st December between Wilma Brownlie and Fiona Spain. It was a close final ending up at 5 – 5 after 8 ends. This required a draw to the button to decide the winners. Fiona and Wilma both played their stones short requiring another draw. Fiona’s second draw was very good, just touching the edge of the button. Wilma responded with a draw that was perfectly guided in to cover the button by her sweepers. The spectators had had a great afternoon.

Since there were 9 teams competing in Kinross this year, both teams will get to play in the finals in Kinross in February.
