5 Kinross teams travelled to The Peak in Stirling on Wednesday 7th March for the Stirling Ladies Open. 12 teams competed throughout the day in 2 groups of 6. This was an ends competition, so no points for winning. After 3 games the team with the most ends wins, using shots up as a decider.

The day was very enjoyable for everyone and the ice was great, very consistent and a good draw. At the end of the day the winners were Angela Wilcox (skip), Susan Scougal, Debbie Higgins (from Kelso) and Eileen Thomas.

Coming 3rd were Wilma Brownlie (skip) with Margaret Nelson, Mary Lamont and Sheila Fleming.

4th place went to Liz Glennie (skip) with Maggie Scott, Liz Thomson and Fiona Rutherford

Well done Orwell Ladies! Hope they don’t change the day back to a Tuesday next year.
