Yara 2018 Ladies Winners

The Yara Farmers’ Curling Championship took place at the ice rink in Perth from Monday 22nd January to Friday 26th January 2018. It is an annual fixture in the Scottish farming calendar attracting some of Scotland’s top players.

The winners were defending champions skipped by Sandy Reid from Carnoustie with lead Hamish Robertson, second John Dunn and third Stuart Stark taking the championship title two years running and picking up the trophy and £600 prize money.

The runners up were Drew Thomson, Sandy Nelson (skip), Alan Barr and Harry Mitchell.

The low road winners from Perthshire were Peter McLaren, Adam Haggart, Andrew Bayne and Roy McGregor.

The ladies competition was won by Mary Lamont, Pat McFarlane, Wilma Brownlee (Skip) and Margaret Nelson who were the highest placed ladies team.

Congratulations to club members Wilma and Margaret.
