The annual friendly match against Kinross took place on Tuesday 23rd January with Laurie, Valerie and Ann leading teams in this much anticipated competition.

Laurie and Valerie’s teams started strongly while Ann’s struggled over the first few ends. Laurie continued strongly but a last end score of 3 by the men ended in a peel of 6 all for that game. Valerie held out all the way and ended up 9 – 5 up. Ann  went 6 – 1 down after 4 ends but  then they got into their stride and won all the remaining ends, finishing 11 – 6 up.

The final score was 27 to the ladies and 17 to the men.

There was much celebrating in the bar afterwards at this rare win for the ladies. Some Orwell and Dunfermline players helped to rub salt in the Kinross wounds.
